2. Fish or chicken (small portions)
3. Paneer or milk in moderation
4. Avoid high-protein diets and protein supplements unless advised
Watch Potassium
- Limit: Banana, orange, mango, coconut water, potato, tomato, spinach
- Choose: Apple, pear, grapes, papaya, cabbage, cauliflower, bottle gourd, cucumber
- Boil vegetables and discard the water to reduce potassium.
Reduce Phosphorus

💧 Drink Fluids Wisely
- Follow your nephrologist’s advice.
- Restrict fluids if you have swelling, breathlessness, or reduced urine output.
- Avoid sugary drinks.
Eat Smart
- Whole grains in moderation
- Plenty of cooked vegetables
- Healthy oils in small amounts

Avoid Fried foods, bakery items, and trans fats
If You Have Diabetes
- Keep blood sugar under control.
- Avoid sweets, sugary drinks, and fruit juices.
- Eat regular, balanced meals
Healthy Lifestyle
- Walk for 30 minutes most days
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Avoid smoking and limit alcohol
