About Treatments

If you experience symptoms like severe fatigue, swelling (especially in the legs and ankles), shortness of breath, or high blood pressure that is difficult to control, you may need to be evaluated for dialysis. Dr. Dalvi can assess your kidney function and determine the best treatment approach.

Before a kidney biopsy, Dr. Dalvi will review your medical history, perform blood tests, and explain the procedure in detail. You may be asked to avoid certain medications, like blood thinners, to minimize bleeding risks. The procedure is generally safe and done under local anesthesia.

A typical hemodialysis session lasts about 4 hours and is done 3 times a week. During the treatment, blood is filtered through a machine to remove waste and excess fluids. Dr. Dalvi ensures that each session is customized for your comfort and health needs, closely monitoring your vital signs throughout.

Post-transplant care focuses on preventing rejection and infections. Dr. Dalvi will create a personalized medication plan, monitor kidney function with regular blood tests, and provide ongoing support to ensure the longevity of your new kidney. Regular follow-ups are essential for a successful recovery.

Electrolyte disorders occur when levels of minerals like sodium, potassium, or calcium are too high or too low. These imbalances can affect your heart, muscles, and other body functions. Dr. Dalvi uses a combination of medications, dietary adjustments, and, if necessary, intravenous treatments to correct these imbalances and restore optimal health.
